First experiencing the Secret

In the fall of 2006 I just moved out of my parents house and left my serious girlfriend to go to college three hours away. This was the first time I had been on my own, and I had a really hard time leaving my girlfriend who I loved. I began to really struggle with life and being happy. My girlfriend and I began fighting and decided it would be best if we stopped talking to each other.
After the school year ended I moved back home for the summer to work. My mom had read The Secret and strongly recommended me to read it. As I read, the ideas really started making sense to me. I started to change my thoughts and my attitude toward life. I started writing down goals of things I wanted to achieve the next year. Every day I would close my eyes and visualize my self working at the snowboard shop in the town I was going to school in.
When it was time for me to go back to school I noticed things were changing for the better. Within weeks I had already made tons of new friends. One night at a party I met a girl I was very attracted to. So I figured I would use the Secret to see if it would work. The next day that same girl’s friend called me and asked me if I wanted to go to breakfast with them. I felt the Secret was really working. A few days later we started dating, and on the first date she was wearing the same color clothes as I had imagined.
I kept focusing on getting a job at the snowboard shop. One day I stopped by the shop for some shoes, and the manager just straight asked me if I could work there. I was blown away, but I knew it was because of my practice of visualization and positive attitude. I am still working there today, as well as using the Secret in my daily life.
As for my old girlfriend, we began talking again and are now close friends again.
Thank You!
