Finding The Familiar In The New
Submitted by: Marty R.
Redmond, WAI am a 58 year old woman who had a very satisfactory life until the recession of 2001 hit. Since then I have been out of work the majority of the time, but I am going back to school and hope to obtain a Masters of Archaeology/Egyptology. Reading The Secret has been a revelation for me!
I found a copy of the book in a used book store and I want you to know it has created a change in my awareness of my self and my life. I have not worked in 10 years–either because I could not find a job, or could not keep one–after working the majority of my adult life. Your book helped me realize why, though accepting it has been painful.
I’ve read about creative visualization before, but it was never presented in such spiritual terms. I only made half hearted efforts at it then I would forget it. Now I look at the way I can daydream a fantasy all day if I choose, I can use my mind to create something better for myself. I am still a baby at this, still a novice. I just finished the book and am getting ready to read it again.
I know The Secret is working in my life, because it manifests itself in small ways. A pair of shoes I couldn’t afford. Finding the enhanced DVD on Amazon for a price I could afford. I am going to have to work at changing my awareness, but this time there is something inside me that is telling me that I will have the life I want–though there are some things that are going to take time. I am going to fulfil a lifelong dream I almost let go of (And maybe even a Mr. Wonderful will come along, though I’m not looking for him at the moment).
Thank you so much for making “The Secret”. It’s opened my eyes in so many ways and I cannot thank you enough!
