I was never good at maths and therefore, I never enjoyed it. This negative thinking led to failing my maths exam on 7 occasions.

I was given The Secret two years ago, however, I didn’t give it the acknowledgement that I should’ve done at that time. I was reminded again of the book by another friend this July, a month before I got my results of retaking my exam for the 8th time.

I could not believe how much sense The Secret made and I just wished I’d read it sooner! I completely changed the way I was feeling and thinking. I started to act as if I had passed. I printed out an exam certificate of the grade I wanted and stuck it on top of my previous exam certificate, so it looked like I had my exam certificate with my desired grade. I pinned it up on my wall and looked at it several times a day. I kept saying positive affirmations such as, “I finally did it!”. I would feel so happy and so relieved of never doing the exam again and finally moving on with my life. I would feel so much gratitude and thank the universe for finally allowing me to pass maths exam, so much that I would have tears in my eyes. I continued to do this until results day.

Results day finally came, it was a beautiful day and I woke up saying thank you to the universe for helping me achieve my desired grade. On my way to collect my result, I kept seeing the letter of the grade I wanted standout on number plates, road signs and shop windows. Instantly I felt so happy and kept thanking the universe.

I got to my college office and collected my results sheet. For a second, I did doubt myself. But I opened the page and it had my desired grade just as I visualised, I PASSED!

After 4 years of this constant battle, after 7 times of retaking it, I finally passed. I can now finally move on in life, which has led to me starting university.

“Change your thoughts and you can change the world”. This goes out to anyone in a similar situation, I hope my story inspires you. Trust the process. Keep going and never give up. Believe in yourself, you already have the power to all your desires inside you.
