Fairy Tales Do Exist!
Submitted by: Esha Hans
IndiaI am a Marketing Manager at a firm in Dubai. I am an MBA in Marketing.
Since childhood I was always fascinated with fairy tales and happy ending stories. I used to believe that soulmates do exist and I will get my prince soon, as described in the story books.
I started to grow up, went to college, got an MBA and then started working. The soulmate belief started to fade and I was busy setting up my career. I had a couple of bad relationships which made me think that true love does not exist. There was pain, suffering and agony in my past relationships and I completely lost the hope of finding love.
During my free time I started reading The Secret book and saw the movie three times. I subscribed to The Secret Scrolls and it became a daily habit of mine to read them before starting my work. It gave me peace and hope.
Inspired by The Secret, one day I turned the pages of my diary and started writing 15 things I wanted in my future husband. Daily I used to see those 15 points and started imagining my husband to be the same. To love me, to respect me and to take care of me. Be a loving friend and so on.
After 2 months, out of nowhere, I got a request on Instagram. It was from a cute guy and I started exchanging texts with him. Within 2 weeks time he took a flight from Dubai to India and proposed me. He was exactly what I desired and what I asked for in my diary. It was like a spark and we clicked instantly when we saw each other for the first time. My father is very strict but he instantly approved of him and so did his family of me. Our official engagement was fixed a month later.
Now I am happily married and settled with him in Dubai and next month we will be celebrating our six month anniversary. Like mentioned in my diary, he is the same as I have imagined him to be and every day is like a fairy tale for me.
