Faded But Not Jaded Childhood.

Manchester,U.KI am a cheerful and happy person who sometimes gets stressed out when the situation gets tough. I am currently studying to get registered as a Dentist in U.K. I am an Indian woman who lives in Manchester with my French husband. We both are like minded people with a keen interest in globe trotting!
In Delhi, being the youngest in the family and growing up with a houseful of people was not a exactly what I wished for, but I used to be quite a joker around the house and kept everyone entertained. My parents, uncles and grandparents all being doctors, were all very well educated and liberal. However my father was an alcoholic so we constantly had a very tense environment around the house. It use to get so bad and out of hand that I use to feel that two people lived inside my dad. When he was sober, he was a perfect father but this use to be a complete contrast to when he use to drink. He would go violent, beat us up and break every piece of furniture he could lay his hands on.
There was always an air of tension at our place but amidst all this I was still basically happy and content. The reason for this I came to know when I read “The Secret” for the first time. I was happy during my childhood even if everyone else in my family did not feel that way because I unknowingly applied this great secret in my life. I was always happy and thinking of that one good thing that had happened and I used to keep holding on to the happy feeling, even if 50 other things were going bad.
The Secret taught me such a powerful lesson early in life about counting my blessings, even if they were scarce! From counting my blessings there starts an unimaginable chain of happiness and bliss.
I am grateful to the entire team of The Secret from the bottom of my heart for introducing this beautiful gift in all our lives!
