My sister got me into The Secret, she was reading the book and would call me and talk excitedly about it to me. I had watched the DVD years ago, been inspired, but never practiced it (probably due to lack of belief/hope). This time I went out and got the book from the library. My husband and I read it together and we became so excited.

This time was different. This time I believed, knew, hoped, took the daring steps to actually change my life. We wanted to have more than enough money (and indeed we do!). We were visualizing checks coming, and large sums of money being attracted to us. In the meantime, while still holding the expectation for those sums, I imagined $500. Just $500. It felt right. I imagined holding 5 $100 bills in my hand.

Two days later, my husband and I were discussing what we could possibly feed our two year old as he refused our dinner. ‘Pancakes’ I kept thinking, ‘feed him pancakes’. I hesitated on feeding him pancakes, but the idea was persistent and I couldn’t think of anything else to feed him, so pancakes it was. My husband went and grabbed the cookbook which had my favourite pancake recipe in it–he handed it to me, and as he walked away, I saw something drop to the floor.

It was a check. For $500.

It was a government issued check, dated from almost a year ago (government issued checks don’t go stale). We must have lost it and forgotten about it somehow–but the Universe knew that it was the fastest and easiest way to manifest the $500 I had been imagining. It was so incredible.

It is only the beginning of the wonderful things life has in store for us. We need only reach out and take what we want from the infinite supply that exists in the invisible.
