Every Ending Is For A Better Beginning.

AKL, NZA believer, full of gratitude, faith and happiness.
I was happily employed with a company but it felt like my career wasn’t heading in the right direction. I had read The Secret and The Science of Getting Rich which said that only when I fulfilled my current role, such that I outgrew it, would I be presented with “the right” opportunity.
I was being asked to do a lot of work, most of which was new to me but I was getting paid less than what one would expect for that amount of work. But I knew that this is all temporary and things will soon change for the better. So I kept being grateful for whatever I had now and kept working with passion and diligence.
So one day we were supposed to have this big meeting where everyone’s participation was mandatory. My company’s director comes to me an hour before the meeting and says that he wants to have a private discussion with me. During the discussion he tells me that the company has been acquired by another company and that my role in the company would no longer be needed.
I was shocked for a second, but the very next moment I became “aware” and started feeling great about it. I realized that this was the opportunity that I had been waiting for. My colleagues were really sad at my termination, especially my manager who wasn’t informed about the same, beforehand. But I was all positive, knowing that I was heading in the right direction. Many of them even asked me to send them my resume which they could forward to their contacts and although I thanked them and said that I soon would, I was confident that I would choose my next workplace on my own and it would be the best place for me.
So I went back home and watched The Secret once again. Started feeling all positive and then began looking for new jobs. I shortlisted three listings and was ready to apply but my company’s HR wanted to help me with my resume and she wasn’t available until the next week, so I had to wait. Because I was employed for another four weeks, I said to myself that I will find a job before my current job runs out.
I had been working on my resume, putting in all the new things that I had learned and done in a short span of time at my current workplace and waiting for the day when I could get them checked by my company’s HR.
One morning when I woke up, I had this intense nudge from within, so I went ahead and applied for all the listings without getting them checked. To my surprise I got a reply back from two of them within a few hours. One saying that I would have a phone interview in two days time and the other wanted me to take a couple of tests. I was already jumping and dancing with joy almost as if I had found my perfect job.
Next, to prepare for my phone interview, I started doing some research on the company. I visited their website and learned about their company philosophy which I immediately fell in love with. Within minutes of surfing through their website I knew that this was it. This is where I belonged and I deserved to be a part of this place. I didn’t bother taking the tests from the second job listing.
I checked the workplace location for this company and it was perfect for me. And so began my daily routine of visiting it. Every day I would walk by the office and as I’d do it, I would thank the universe for letting me be part of this wonderful company. I’d appreciate the beautiful office that I worked in, how supportive and caring my colleagues were and how well I was paid. I had also taken the contract from my current workplace and replaced the company name, the remuneration and the start date which I used during my daily visualization.
So I got the phone interview call, the interviewer was already very impressed with my resume and made the discussion feel like a very friendly chat. I was told that they were looking for someone who can quickly learn new things and my resume reflected the same attribute. “Magically” when talking about my interests, we found out that we both support the same football club. I took as a cue from the universe that I was in the right receiving phase. At end of the interview, he said that I had to take a couple of tests which were a very important part of the recruitment process.
To cut the long story short, I aced them. I had a PI round with the directors, had another PI round with the team and then was asked to wait for the result. During this time I would look for cues from the universe during my daily activities and they only got stronger and stronger. One cue was that during a party, I overheard one of my friends telling someone about his visit to the company as a client and saying how amazing their office was.
So a day after my last interview with the team, I get a phone call. They praise my results from the recruitment rounds but say that my experience falls short of what they had been expecting for the role that I’d applied for.
However, since they liked me and believed that I am a perfect fit for their company, they created a new role for me and invited me on-board!!
I felt so elated and was filled with joy and gratitude, but I remained calm because in my mind, I already knew that I was an employee in this wonderful company.
Here I have my new and perfect job within a month of losing the current one and with a salary almost touching the one in the contract I used during my visualization. They said I’d very soon have a performance review and would get a boost. The boost would take it beyond the amount in the contract.
You can have whatever it is that you want. Just make sure:
1) You are grateful for what you have now.
2) You use visualization and feel that you already have it.
3) You are happy and remain in a positive mood at all times.
Life is supposed to be abundant.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
