My Ever Widening Reality Of Magnificent Outcomes.
My favorite principal and the one I increasingly fall back on is the Magnificent Outcomes exercise which Rhonda Byrnes talks about in The Magic and she also refers to in The Power about her little dog Cabbie. I had begun to replace my habit of worrying over things to just switching over to seeing the most magnificent outcome to any situation I find myself in. I started doing it with my children at first. What a relief that was! They still don’t know that I practice this on them as they are all full grown now and leading beautiful creative lives. But yesterday I decided to try and expand my focus.
I happend to glance at the news while working out at the YMCA yesterday and saw that soldiers were being detained by Iraq. I don’t watch news anymore because it disturbs me so I really didn’t know any how’s or why’s. I just realized in that moment that instead of getting upset by what I was seeing I could try to picture and send the energy of a magnificent outcome. I pictured all of those boys sighing with relief and joy, being released safe and sound and even the Iraqi people being happy and relieved at a truly wonderful outcome. I felt so much better and went on to work out.
Later in the day while picking up my grandkids from school I flipped on the radio to keep from falling asleep while waiting in the line of cars and there was breaking news; a brief statement issued that the soldiers had been released. I was so incredibly happy. I got my magnificent outcome! I know others must have sent this energy out as well. But in my own magical world, this was a point for me. Yay! I so love, love, love this exercise. It has helped me with each of my four children, my mom’s health and even a stray dog I found wandering the neighborhood. It puts me in a proactive state of mind.
