Dreams do come true!
I have TWO stories!
I suggested to my friend to read The Secret last December. Before reading it, he told me that he wished to work in Dubai in a 5 star hotel. After reading it, he started being thankful for each and every thing given to him by God.
I am a hotel management student from Mumbai studying in the best college of Asia. We have to attend a compulsory training of 6 months in our 2nd year. It was my friend’s dream to do his training in Dubai.
Hotel Palm Jumairah (same group which owns Burj Al Arab) came to my college for interviews in the month of February. It was surprising for all (obviously not for me and my friend though), as the hotel never came in for interviews for the training period of June to December.
My friend fulfilled all the necessary criteria for the hotel. So then he had an interview for the hotel. He was selected! Now he is working in one of the finest hotels in the world….in Dubai.
I would now like to tell my story.
Since the day i joined college, I learned that only 3 students are sent to France for training. I was excited as I always wanted to work there. I knew that next year I was going to be one of the students who’ll go there, to France. Then this March something happened which almost broke my dream (of course, just for the moment). The hotel from France only comes for the training batch of December to April. I was told that I had to go for the June batch. I was very sad.
But then i also came to know that I fulfilled the criteria for Dubai, and was later called for an interview. I really did not wish to work in Dubai. But as we all know, everything happens for a better good. Let me say that luckily, I goofed up at the interview. So I was rejected for Dubai.
I did not even do any interviews for any other hotel. So now i was pushed to the December batch.
Just this past week I had a French test. I got through the test well, and now…..guess what: I am going to France this December!!
I am really, really happy. I would like to thank the entire Secret team. This was the thing which entirely changed my life. I also thank God for giving me this opportunity.
Thank you God. I love you 🙂
