I have always been grateful to God for all things and about 7 yrs ago I started to notice a correlation between my gratitude, faith and my desires. I noticed little things I desired were given to me which made me even more grateful! I started to believe that God or the Universe, as some may say, would give me whatever I asked for if I believed it. Since I was grateful for just having food and shelter for myself and kids, I didn’t ask for much more. I had a job I hated, I worked 7 days s week to make ends meet. I was newly divorced and not interested in dating and too busy working anyway. Yet I was grateful for what I did have. I’m the kind of person who looks at the “cup being half full” not half empty. But I was very sad, tired, lonely and unhappy.

This went on for 3 years and then I got fired. It was a blessing in disguise. I started collecting unemployment, my house was foreclosed on and I claimed bankruptcy. But through it all I was grateful and positive that good things would come. And they did!

I met the man of my dreams, then I got the job of my dreams, then the house of my dreams!

I had not heard about The Secret until after all those dreams came true. What I realize now is that I was already asking, believing, and receiving. The Secret verified how an attitude of gratitude results in receiving what you dream of. What I did not know was that happiness is also a component of manifesting your desires. Now that I have added happiness to my gratitude, I receive “gifts” every day! I am so grateful and happy!
