In January 2007 someone told me to watch The Secret. I watched an intro on YouTube. I was hooked. I went out and picked up dinner at the local Thai and downloaded the full version. Dinner got cold fast. I was immersed in these truths.

I made a list of 12 things I wanted to achieve. A year later I have achieved 9. On two things… well, the universe is smarter than me. On the other… I’m on my way.

In April I was fired from a job I hated. No surprise… this was my fear EVERY day. But I had started to employ these teachings. And by August I was on a plane bound for Paris to study for an MBA focused in luxury brand management. I wasn’t sure when I started on this quest how I would pay my living expenses. No fear… the Secret works in mysterious ways.

I was hired in a very flexible consulting position. While I’ve been studying, I’ve been working as a consultant in marketing to boost my income, and I also managed to save enough money before hand to help pay my expenses.

My only regret… I kept saying I didn’t care if I lived in a shoe box, as long as I got to Paris. Well, I live in a shoe box. But a shoe box in the BEST part of Paris. So now every day I am grateful… but I envision my lovely, much bigger Parisian apartment.

I used to let myself get bogged down by the pain of a terrible start to life. I pitied… I admit it. I was lost. I was trying to be the person I knew I could be. But then I realized, it’s not so much about trying as it is simply about being. Every day I grow. Every day I throw my head back and laugh. When I feel pain, I stop and ask myself… why are you wasting time on this? Feel joy!! I meet people all the time who are inspired by my life, and I laugh and ask, “Have you watched The Secret?” Some are intrigued. Some seem happier to live in their negative vibration. And I’m sure I frustrate them at first. I moved to their country and have a great life. Hopefully they will soon figure out why… I love my life!!!
