Dreaming even when awake
Sorry if my English is not that good.
The Secret was introduced to me by a friend. The first 20 minutes of The Secret video from YouTube, to be specific. At that point I was so eager to watch the movie, so eager that it came to me for free, as an unwrapped advanced birthday gift by another friend of mine, which is so silly.
It was almost a year after watching the movie. I started using The Secret right after watching it, and to be honest it is not that easy to do. I knew that I should be aware that it is not going to be that easy at first, because we were raised with the false knowledge that we do not have control over circumstances, events, and materials in our lives, and everything is just “being brought to us by default”. I knew what I had to do. I had to be patient while keeping my peace of mind. That is all I did.
In the first week, I wrote all that I would like to have, the experiences I would like to have, etc. After reading it aloud in my mind I meditated for the first time in my life and I kept meditating every morning when I wake up. Now, I have a brand new Honda Civic, a brand new laptop, a Canon DSLR 50D, I have a family and friends who support me, brothers and sisters who are always there to help, hobbies and interests I once thought I couldnt do, a girlfriend I once only dreamed of, experiences that I only see on movies and Discovery channel. Everything seems too perfect… it feels like I’m living in my dreams.
“Nananaginip ng gising” a Filipino saying that says, “Dreaming even when awake.”
