I recently read The Secret and was inspired to give it a try… for experimental purposes. At the time I was driving an old, rust on purple 94 Sunbird. The AC broke and then the heater broke. I drove around an entire winter without heat, freezing to death. But I was telling myself that a new car wouldn’t be affordable. I kept pouring money into my old beater for repairs.
In the back of my head I knew I needed a new car, I just kept telling myself it couldn’t happen.
Someone once asked me… what’s your dream car? I said, “A black Honda Civic.”
Well after reading The Secret, I started to visualize my new car. Every day I said, “Thanks for my beautiful new car, thanks for my black Honda Civic.”
I pictured myself driving my new car with a smile on my face.
Long story short. In the end the car didn’t drop from the sky, or drive up to me with a big bow on top.
Turns out I had been the thing standing in the way of my new car. But thanks to The Secret (and a very special person in my life) I understood: “I can afford it.”
That day I got up, went to the car dealership, and bought the car of my dreams.
And I can afford it.
Now I am driving my SWEET new ride, grinning from ear to ear.
