My friend and business partner and I met for lunch 4 years ago with the idea of talking about what we wanted out of our lives. We had the same job title and worked for different companies doing business development and clinical outreach. We were both in the same place. We wanted to work for ourselves and felt burnt out working for people that at times left us feeling like we weren’t enough.

We had a few more meetings before we set out on our own business idea. We talked about what we would need and then we met and created our vision board. Shortly after, every part came together in a way that was absolutely ideal for our idea, as it was meant to be at the time.

A friend and colleague came into our lives and gave us the kick we needed. Within days we were at the bank taking out everything we had in our accounts to create our business account. We had 90k all together. We then had a real estate agent that found the perfect property for us with a price that could not be any more perfect for our start. We built it and the people that needed us came!

Today we are in a better residence that has allowed us to have more clients. We began making a salary a year ago and we just keep improving! Our next move is to create a nonprofit where our clients can work and have meaningful and passion filled lives. One can’t imagine how challenging it is to live with schizophrenia. We have figured out how to help them! This will open so many opportunities for individuals, their communities, and those who want to be a part of something amazing!!

I’m ready to continue helping others and today I see many possibilities to create gratitude, joy, and enjoyment for myself as well! Thank you!
