Die Traumwohnung – the dream house.

Mumbai, IndiaThe Secret brought me joy. I worship the goddess and I found the book "The Secret" on the way to my journey to the temple, so in a way it was a gift for me from the divine. The Secret brings even more joy when you help someone become happy, especially someone you love the most. My story is about this, the joy of seeing someone we love the happiest.
The ways in which The Secret works is the thing that sets shivers in my mind. I learnt The Secret nearly one year ago. It brought me excellent grades, purpose to my life, and an everlasting happiness that will be enough for me to survive this lifetime.
Long ago I have discovered that my deepest joys are in teaching. I intend to become a teacher. I also teach The Secret, not as a class or something, I teach those who are in need and who need my help. But the universe cares about those who care for others, they say; that exactly is “my story”.
Since 20 years my mom has wanted a home for her own. My parents had a lot of responsibilities, and to put in the words of “The Secret”, they had grown up with “money is hard-earned” thoughts. Due to one reason or another they were unable to make a property of their own. The only thing that could ever kill me is a feeling of hopelessness in my parents eyes. My mom used to cry with the thoughts of lack of home. Little did she know that these thoughts were putting her dream home farther out of her reach. She could not read or understand English so she could not read The Secret. I decided that I had to do something.
I told my mom about the ask, believe, and receive exercise, but she won’t believe me (some people especially Indians tend to believe that they are born to reap the sins of last life). But she did believe in the goddess. Goddess is the universe and the universe is the goddess. So I told her to ask the goddess for the home of her dreams and imagine for precisely 15 minutes that she had the house and then thank the goddess and leave the temple without a word.
At the same time my German language teacher told me to write an essay on the subject ‘Die Traumwohnung,’ meaning the dream house. I asked my mom to describe the house of her dreams and she did. I tried to fill in every detail and then translated it to English and gave my mom a copy. She would read it daily as a tool to meditate on.
The Secret worked its magic – what had not happened in 20 years has happened a month ago. I won’t go in to all the details but I and my mom had asked for a river in the surrounding, a beautiful mountainous surrounding, and we wanted it to cost cheap. It has it all. Today my mom and my dad own a house in Nasik in Maharastra, India. Our house is located just 15 minutes drive from the river Godavari, we have the world famous Pandav Lene mountains at a mere 10 minutes, walk and plus it costs us only 10 lakh rupees – nearly 20,000 American dollars (a small house in Mumbai costs nearly double than that).
I surely am happy for the house but I still can remember the heavenly smile on my mom and dad’s faces. “The Secret” speaks of the feel good factor, that smile on their faces is what gives me eternal happiness. That one moment changed my life and I decided to use The Secret to help others and make them happy.
So now with tears of gratitude and shivering hands I wish whosoever is reading this to please pass my thanks to madam Rhonda Byrne, for writing this wonderful book. Also learn from her example and try to make others happy. Remember care for others, love others, and the goddess (universe, Aladdin’s Genie Almighty, Allah, etc. so many names but one faceless face) will shower 1000 fold on you.
Thank you for reading.
