IndiaI am a psychology student.
Hello everyone! My genuine, profound thanks to Rhonda and everyone who gave their input in The Secret book. My thanks to my silly brother for coaxing me to read this book and gifting me peace, love and serenity. Here comes my story.
Out of the blue, my brother gave me The Secret book to read. I heard about the book before but never really gave it much importance as I thought it was another self help book. How wrong I had been. I started reading the book and started liking and enjoying it to the core. I took it slowly as I can not absorb too much information at once. Actually this “take it slow” idea was given to me by a person who reviewed the book and I am very grateful and thankful to him.
I started applying all the principles in my life and there sure was a difference, a positive difference. But the major breakthrough came when I was going to write my exam. I actually spotted a very old woman on a footpath under the extremely hot, humid, blazing sun, begging for money. That sight hit me very hard and I was very upset. I couldn’t do anything as I was on my way to find an unknown exam centre. But I promised myself that while returning, I’d do something for her.
I did come back later that day and gave her a few bucks for which she bowed down. That also hit me hard because she was elder to me and it was only a few bucks! I was not happy with what I gave but I did smile and I had returned. But her plight did not let me sleep as I was thinking what she was going to do tomorrow? Who is going to help her tomorrow? I left that thought and I diverted myself and went on with my work.
After 2 days while I was reading The Secret stories, I suddenly wanted to help her find a more permanent solution. I started searching for an organization who can accommodate elder and destitute. I came across many but something put me off. Then I found “The Good Samaritan Org” by Mr. George! Oh the wonderful job they are doing just lifted my already dampened spirits. I sent them an email and within a few hours I got an email back enquiring the whereabouts of the poor lady. I gave them my contact number and Mr. Salman contacted me and found out the exact location and promised me he’d look into the matter ASAP. All this while I was praying, thanking and using the LOA principles to get her rescued.
It was not for her, it was for my happiness and peace of mind to find a solution for her that made me pray and pray and be positive. I was very positive and I already thanked the Universe for rescuing her even before anything happened.
And the miracle happened!!! Yes!!!! She had been thrown out by her son who is a watchman in a nearby building as she seemed to be a burden to him. They picked her up in a car to accommodate her in a shelter and all that while, she was trying to put her head on the rescuer’s hands! Poor thing. She is now finally safe, loved, peaceful, happy and people around her will give her a sense of belonging! Finally yes!
I am going to visit her very soon.
The LOA will help you if you really want something good to happen from your heart. Thank you Mr.George and Mr.Salman for your amazing selfless rescues and all the other other rescuers too.
I hope you find some solace in reading this story. You will find your miracle too. Just stay positive, grateful, happy and let go. The Universe will find a way to help you.
P.S. To anyone who wants to donate to this org. for future rescues or to help the old, you can help them at www.goodsamaritansindia.in. They will all be very grateful for your support. Facebook page- goodsamaritansofficial. INDIA.
