I’d been an avid believer of The Secret since I was in high school. It wasn’t until I was in college where I learned the proper terminology for it and it was post college where I really learned how to properly manifest things I wanted. Ever since then I’ve shared The Secret with anyone willing to listen.

My older sister has been going through a string of bad luck for many years; financially, emotionally, health wise and career wise. It had been a while since I had watched The Secret so I was in my room the day before New Years Eve watching it and writing down the profound messages in my journal. That was when my sister walks in and asks me what I’m doing. I told her “Do you know what the law of attraction is?” In that moment I explained to her to the best of my ability what it was and how I’ve used it to graduate from a private university completely debt free, how I envisioned success in my career and how I envisioned the value of my bank account, buying the very house we lived in and how I envisioned the very job I have now. I then told her stories of my friends and even our brother whom I introduced The Secret to, and how they also manifested the perfect relationship, job or money. She took in every single detail.

Little did she know she was practicing the LOA subconsciously. My sister lives 6 hours away from us and can only be with us during the holidays when her job allows but when she is with us, she is the happiest I’ve seen her. She doesn’t say it openly but I know she’s appreciative of the love and support she has when she’s home. Lately she’s been obsessed with a pair of cat slippers I have. My girlfriend had left her pair of pig slippers at my house and my sister had been using them as well. She finally said out loud to me “Roxanne where did you get these I want some?” I said “They were a gift, I don’t know.” She then says “When we go to the store today don’t forget to remind me to get a pair. I want a pair like this.”. Of course we both forgot and never remembered it until we went to our aunts house the next day.

We were not able to see my aunt during Christmas due to our schedules so we exchanged Christmas presents that day instead. When my sister opened her presents she started screaming. My aunt had gotten her a pair of lion house slippers. She ripped the plastic off them and my aunt had said “I didn’t know what size you were I hope they fit.” And as she slipped them on she screamed “They are perfect! How did you know Auntie!” It was then it dawned on me she had manifested them. As she was still shrieking from excitement I told her “Remember last night how we were talking about the law of attraction?” She became wide eyed when she realized that she had just proved it to herself be true.

I believe it started with her being grateful for being home and all the love and support she was experiencing during the holidays. Then came the desire, she wanted house slippers. Then came the acting of it by using mine and my girlfriends, and when she intended to buy her own she had forgotten and essentially let go of the idea. Then when the Universe decided it was time, she received what she asked for.
