Childhood experience

South WestI am a mother of three and enjoy walking our dog. I have four health conditions that effect my everyday life.
She was about four years old and quite an explorer. One time she went astray when playing on the pebble beach. Her Grandparents were frantic, not that she knew this of course!
The youngster realised she was lost and asked some older girls for help, but they were not interested “go away, we don’t know you”. The youngster had tears in her eyes and, although so young, she realised that she had to help herself. The only thing that was familiar was old broken wooden planks buried into the ground. The young girl followed them, she didn’t understand why but had that feeling that somthing was right about it!!
Suddenly she bumped into a policeman and from behind him popped Grandpa’s head, she was safe! She had wondered at least 2miles and she learned some important lessons that day. Never to wonder off and how to recognise familiar detail in order not to get lost again.
Now, at the age of 39, she trusts her instincts more than ever and it guides her in the walk of life.
