Cheques, cheques, cheques in the mail
The leader of my success team lent me The Secret. I watched it with my husband and my son that first night, creating the family movie night I had envisioned in the past few months. One of my favourite parts of the movie is the part about having more cheques than bills, so I started singing, “Cheques, cheques, cheques in the mail.” I watched the movie again about a week later with another success team member. After she left, I chequed the mailbox – and there was a cheque I had been waiting for for two years! It was really special to me, and at first I thought, I don’t care how much it’s for – NO, I want it to be hundreds! And it was! I also thought, this is directly related to The Secret, so I’ll bet I have the exact money in my wallet to tithe my 10% – yes. And I had an envelope in my purse to contribute to my church.
I kept singing my song. The next day, another cheque. On the Monday, I decided to ask for two cheques. I came home and realized that the post office had a stat holiday, so I decided that two cheques in the mail was a bit of a stretch. I figured a circumstance like that would call it off. No dice. Later that evening I was compelled to look through a pile of papers and I found an uncashed cheque and a $10 gift certificate.
Last night I came home and my husband reported that we had received a cheque in the mail. We have ordered our own copy of The Secret.
