Last night, I had my first “meet the candidate” evening. At first look I felt like a failure, however, I realized that I was truly blessed to see the people who supported me and my dream of helping the children in South Carolina. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

It is because I want to make a difference for every child that keeps me pushing forward. People over party! Pupil over party! Know the reason for doing what you’re doing. I want to be a blessing to someone’s life.

I am an educator, a mother, and a wife. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and running for a political office. I know I can do this. I tell myself to keep pushing forward. I matter, my dreams matter, and the future of SC students matters.
