I had watched The Secret movie several years ago and used its teachings for a little while with great success, but stopped for some reason. Recently things had not been going well, and I know my thoughts, outlook, and attitude was responsible, so I decided to read The Secret, as books often resonate with me even greater than movies do.

I was sitting in the park reading The Secret on a beautiful sunny day. I was reading and stopping every paragraph to let the powerful words and messages sink in and to remind myself of the beautiful surroundings, to enjoy the sunshine, and be grateful for such a fantastic day.

I wanted to practice The Secret after a particularly moving chapter, so I thought, “I want to manifest butterflies.” I closed my eyes and spent a few minutes thinking about butterflies, how beautiful they are, how much I would love to see one, how they would be perfect for this gorgeous day. I was thanking the butterflies for coming to me and thanking nature for creating butterflies. I was so happy in my thoughts. I then smiled an enormous smile and opened my eyes. I randomly shifted my head and focused, and I saw a butterfly immediately! I was so filled with joy, I turned my head randomly again and looked straight at a different butterfly! I was stunned! I thought, “Wow, I want to do this three times in a row!” So I moved my head again in another direction and there was the third butterfly!! I just couldn’t believe it!

I started crying I was so moved and excited about what I had done just by thinking it and believing it would happen. It was so powerful that I am crying now retelling the story! Three glances and three butterflies, it was so amazing. It will always be my special story.

I have now finished The Secret and live my life by it every day. It is just remarkable, and this is how I will live it forever. I am so excited at the things I can create in my life, and am forever grateful for the knowledge and the happiness it is bringing. Thank you!
