Blessing In Disguise.

Los Angeles, CAI am a 18 year old girl who discovered meditation and the law of attraction in middle school and since then have been learning how to apply it to my life. I am also happily attending UPenn with a full ride scholarship, and I got in with only a 29 on the ACT.
Ever since I was little, I remember knowing I was going to get a scholarship to a good college. But I was already in the middle of my junior year of high school and had no college fund, job, scholarship or rich family. Also my academics were good but they were not top of the line. Still I held faith that somehow I would get into and be able to afford an Ivy League college.
The summer during before senior year, I was kicked out by my parents. At first, I was very upset and was questioning why the Universe had ruined my life and hurt me so badly. It was the hardest time in my life. Thankfully, my amazing friend and her family took me in. I had always been thankful for friends on a daily basis. At the start of senior year, I got accepted into a scholarship program called Questbridge for low income students with good grades. There was no way I would have been able to get this scholarship living with my parents; they made a six figure income but spent it on my other 6 siblings. With this program I was accepted to the University of Pennsylvania with a full four year scholarship and I am now happily attending. At first it did seem that I had done something wrong to attract being kicked out, but now I see that it was all so I could attend my dream school. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
