My 27th birthday was marked with a lot of changes in my life but most of all, it was marked by the uplifting of my life because of The Power and The Secret. My mother had been asking me to read it but as I was busy with grad school, I brushed it off. When a four-year long relationship ended, I had decided to make changes for the better and I started by reading The Power and then The Secret.

I truly understand how the universe provides. When on a charity event, a mobile phone I am very attached to was stolen. I was in distress as I was hanging onto everything familiar. When the phone was stolen, I thought maybe it is a sign from the universe that it is time to let go of old attachments So I immediately tried to change how I felt, envisioned that a new mobile phone will come along, and drop on my lap out of nowhere to signal an ushering of a new life, new opportunities, and new love.

A day after that phone was stolen, I was at my mother’s office when an old friend of hers dropped by out out of the blue. They had not seen each other for awhile and she doesn’t normally visit that often, so this was a surprise. She then learned of my situation and gave me a birthday gift. A brand new iphone. Out of nowhere this gift was given to me, and all because I changed how I felt and believed in The Secret.
