This happened about two weeks before I even heard of “The Secret”. I was watching television with my husband one evening and there were some beautiful images of hot air balloons. I exclaimed to my husband, “I want to go on a balloon ride!” Then I pictured myself on a hot air balloon drifting over the city. Two days later was my birthday and I came home from shopping with my mother. As I approached my computer I noticed a glossy sheet of paper on the desk. The paper read, “Congratulations! You are going on a ride in a hot air balloon with the Balloon Man!” This was a birthday present from my father in law. I naturally assumed that my husband told his dad that this is something I had mentioned I would like to do. When I asked my husband if he had suggested to his father a balloon ride as a birthday gift he said, “No.” My husband claimed that he did not even remember me saying that I would like to go on a balloon ride only two days earlier. To me, this was very bizarre. Then about two weeks later I viewed “The Secret” and it all made sense. This was a small instance, but now that I know about “The Secret” I am going to apply it every day to my life!
