I am an aspiring author at the mere age of 12 years who is trying her best to promote her writing as much as possible. I always thought that to achieve something, one must come of age. I disregarded that very fact years later when I achieved something big, but it is a long story.

I had already published some of my micro fiction on Sweek for the monthly writing contests but had not been selected, not even in the shortlist. I began to flinch about the quality of my writing. However, I got selected once for the Best Feedback prize which was a Paypal amount of $15. Even then did I not praise my abilities but my well wishers appreciated my work every time. I was probably the youngest member of the Sweek platform, and still am right now.

On the other hand, I was also trying for the Times Of India Student Star Achiever award, which is a monthly honor to a student from all of India who has contributed generously to the website and submitted quality work throughout. I had gotten a silver, two bronzes and one participation certificate but I would not stop until I achieved the best.

I finally got my results this year! In the February edition of the Sweek micro fiction contest, I was shortlisted along with 9 other participants. Even though I did not win, I felt that I had given my absolute best and gave myself a pat on the back for a job well done!

Just the month after that, I was selected for the Star Achiever award too. My joy knew no bounds. I got published in the newspaper with an article written about me along with a photo. I got a gold certificate with a letter of appreciation. Best of all, I got a tablet from Lenovo! I was congratulated in the journalism workshop from Times Of India wherein I was selected from my school! A time to cherish and motivation to reach new heights. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
