Best Year Ever???
I have always believed in the concept that the mental is more important than the physical aspects in your life. I’ve tried to pass that on to my children, students, and teams. After viewing The Secret, the clarity of this belief emerged. I would show the movie to my kids and teams to discuss and hopefully incorporate in their daily lives. This year we were rewarded with our beliefs.
My daughter competed in the Miss USA Montana pageant this fall and applied the concepts of The Secret to her contest. She won the pageant and will now compete at the Miss USA contest in Vegas on Friday, April 11.
My son and our basketball team viewed and talked about how to incorporate The Secret in our mind set as we competed throughout the year. We were ranked #1 in the state for most of the year and as tournaments approached we suffered some injuries (including my son). We never lost focus and our team became state champions, ending a 53 year drought for our community. My son also received many individual awards as being one of the top players in the state.
Yes, hard work and dedication were all major factors in their success, but mentally The Secret got them “over the hump”. I truly believe in the power and the self-determination of the message behind the Secret.
