Believe In Your Dream.

Perth, AustraliaRemember that a door closing is not a negative. It allows bigger, better doors to open.
I worked at a company for four years and initially enjoyed it. However, within the last year, things started to go downhill rapidly. My boss, who had always been positive towards me, began to act quite negatively, and some of my colleagues upset me on a daily basis. As a result, I really started to dislike my job and began desperately searching for a new one.
I must have applied for about 100 jobs, and when I did manage to secure an interview, I was always in the top two, but somehow, I always missed out on getting the job. I became extremely frustrated especially when I was now at the point of coming home in tears most evenings due to my unhappiness at my current job.
My dream was to work in a large oil and gas company, but getting a position seemed virtually impossible.
I finally did get another job after two months of interviews and seven different tests. It was a very long and tedious process, but as I was desperate to get out of my current job, I put up with it, even though a small voice inside of me kept telling me not to take the position. I started my new job, and on the 4th day, I walked out because my new boss was the worst person I had ever met. She was an extremely dominant, arrogant bully who took pleasure in intimidating her staff.
Needless to say, this left me unemployed, with low confidence, and feeling a little sorry for myself. I couldn’t understand why the Universe was being so mean to me.
I read The Secret, The Power, and The Magic and decided I needed to turn my life around. I finally realized that I was in control of my life, and not anyone else.
I made a vision board with the logo of the company I wanted to work with, with a picture of me jumping for joy with my acceptance letter. I wrote down the amount of pay I would receive and the perks I would get. I placed the board on the wall next to my bed so I saw it each morning and night. I drove past the huge building in the city quite a few times and felt positive. I also imagined myself in my new office, on the 22nd floor, with a window view of the city. I imagined myself sitting at my desk.
Anyway, shortly after, I saw my dream position advertised at the very same company and almost died from shock! These types of jobs in this company came up every once in a blue moon. It was perfect. I eagerly applied but as the weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything, I thought that they obviously had filled the role, and I didn’t even get an interview. I had even created a business card for myself, which I looked at every day.
I figured that it hadn’t worked, so I just forgot about it. One day, two and a half months later, I received a call from this company asking if I was still interested in the position and, if so, if they would like to invite me for an interview. I was so shocked and excited.
I had three weeks to prepare for the interview, so I simply acted like it was already mine. I planned my life like I was already working there, preparing my clothes each day.
On the day of the interview, I told myself that the job was mine and the interview was just a formality. The interview went really well and it turned out that one of the interviewers was good friends with one of my previous bosses. He was actually my favorite boss, and we always got along extremely well. Needless to say, I got the job!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am so happy and grateful to The Secret and I could not be any more thrilled!
Do not give up. Keep believing and stop worrying. When you ask and then ‘forget’ about it, you are actually letting it go, which is the key to The Secret. When you do that, it happens.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
