About a year and a half ago my very best friend told me to buy The Secret and read it. When I found it, I thought it was weird that I had seen it in passing, and distinctly remembered the cover. It just seemed odd I would remember a book just passing by.

Anyway, I read the book, and as a truly negative person, it has changed my life. Within this year and a half, I took an amazing vacation to 5 different countries that I never thought was possible, I was offered a better job (I was waitressing before), my job provided me with a new car (which is what I needed), and also my own apartment (while I was grateful for living with my friends, I had hoped to live on my own again at some point).

I worked the two jobs for a while, until there came a point when I decided I had to leave my restaurant. I was trying to look around for another job, but one day I got so aggravated at work, and in my head I remembered a part in The Secret where Rhonda’s sister was trying to get to the US, and started packing up her office and quit her job, just trusting that she would get there. So I did it. I gave my two weeks and left.

Not two days after my two weeks was given, I was offered a job at a new, much more upscale restaurant opening near me. Had I not given my notice then, I wouldn’t have gone out looking for that job.

I have also been single for the past two years, and my ex boyfriend and I have reconciled our differences and are moving forward with our relationship.

I wanted to lose weight, and had desperately tried before The Secret. Every night before I went to bed I dreamt about people telling me that I looked so skinny, and that I must have lost weight. Some time went by and I started to hear those exact words! I had barely changed my eating habits or my exercise habits at all! I have lost over 20lbs without really trying, all due to the Secret I believe.

There are so many things I could tell you that the Secret has changed in my life. But it has truly changed me as a person, from someone who was brought up in a negative environment to someone with a positive attitude, and always knowing that even though there ARE hard times inevitably, the universe always has a master plan, and is always guiding me in the right direction. Believe in the unseen.
