Hey all! It is after MUCH thought that I’m penning down my tale here – for the world to see.

I was introduced to The Secret video in Feb ’10 by my fiancé who promised me that I was in for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I watched it and was instantly hooked on to the ideas and suggestions put forth in the video! However, normal life got the better of my interest, and I found myself going through the daily drill as before.

For quite sometime I had been dissatisfied with my job, I had literally everything I could ask for in it – a great peer group, proximity of office to home, a good pay – however, I was not satisfied with the work I was doing. In fact I had been longing for a change into some other industry, but had no clue as to which one, or for that matter, how to even begin!

This was where The Secret turned into a life saver! Despite having no clue about where I wanna end up, I started attracting and feeling that I was in the office of my dreams – a five day work week, earthly work hours, office close to home and more importantly – work that I enjoy doing! Believe me I had no clue about even which industry to look out for!

Soon, in a casual conversation, my fiancé suggested that I could get into the publishing industry since I love reading. And that sparked off a chain reaction, which I am still in awe of! I immediately jumped at the idea and started searching for job postings for editors – but found none. However, I never gave up my belief or search! Two days later, I saw an ad for a seminar, being conducted by a social group where a copy editor and a translator were to deliver speeches on their fields of work! I was present and my my, it was such a mine of information – and I quickly got contacts who helped me search for job postings in exactly the right places!

To cut a long story short, I got calls from six companies in a span of 1.5 months, three of which were huge MNCs, converted all of them and I’m right now working with the largest publisher in the world, as an editor!!!

To top this, I always knew that the publishing industry would never equal my then salary (I was a manager in the IT industry) and 4 out of the 6 companies mirrored my thoughts by offering me a paltry sum. However, I was dreaming for a hike, and a 5-day work week (unheard of in the publishing industry in India) – and tada!!! Here I am with a cool 30% hike, and all other requirements met to perfection 

I truly am astounded by the power of the LOA. I would earnestly prod all my friends reading this to just do one thing – BELIEVE!

And it will be yours!!! Have a spectacular life!! Cheers!

P.S: I am more in awe of the fact that right from July (when I joined my company) till now, I haven’t come across a single job posting from any publisher – merely because I’ve stopped looking!! Gosh!! Simply awesome!
