After discovering The Secret last winter I had practiced it’s teachings for a fair few months until I may have began to take things for granted and let the blessings of the teachings I had come across pass me by a little.

This past spring I gave up my room at home for my baby sister to move into and I moved in with my girlfriend of four years at her parents house. I also quit my job due to being messed around in regards to getting time off for family occasions. I had the intension to move into a different job during my 5 month break from university.

However, for the first time in our four year relationship me and my girlfriend were on the verge of breaking up and were facing problems that we did not face when living together at university. I was also struggling to find a new job.

All of a sudden, no space of my own, no money and not job to occupy my time had become my reality. This was the moment I realised I needed to reconnect with the secret and opted to buy a copy of The Magic. I followed the teachings every day whilst sleeping on my parents couch.

I was thankful for my health, the warmth and the comfort that I did have and realised I needed to be thankful for my ability to have the great relationship that I craved, the job I wanted and the space to call my own. After a week or so of avidly following The Magic, the law of attraction worked for me in a way I could not believe.

My best friend received a great job offer and recommended me for his old job and I quickly received an interview and got the position. My girlfriend and I got back together and were thankful to have each other. And the thing I never thought possible, for the first time in 23 years, my Mum and Dad decided to move to a much bigger house with the option of me having a big room of my own. The decision was made due to their friend presenting them with a great price on the house and is a great environment for my baby sister and offers me the space when I need it and I am so thankful this happened.

Six months later and everything is going great but I have been lacking motivation when it comes to work and getting my Uni work done so I decided to reread the secret today and I am looking forward to reconnecting and heading into a future which I long for.
