Sometime in 2016, my best friend gave me a check of 300 thousand nairas, the equivalent to 857 dollars. It was meant to be a joke but after I left his house that day I just kept it in my apartment.

Two years after, I came across the same check while rearranging my apartment. I picked it up and formed a strong belief within me right there that I was going to get that money in a very short time. I did not know how it was going to happen, but I knew it was going to happen.

I started saying a thousand “Thank you Jesus” rosary every morning. A colleague at where I interned shared the secrets of this gratitude behavior with me. Before the end of the year, I got a contract job that was paying me exactly 300 thousand nairas, 857 dollars for a major part of last year.
