Be Careful What You Wish For.
November 5th in the UK is well known as Bonfire Night and it is terrifying for wee dogs like mine because the fireworks go on for hours. For the last few years, I have taken my wee dog to my brother’s house on an island off the west coast of Scotland where it is quiet and there are no fireworks.
The ferry trip is only 10 minutes from the mainland and I had been listening to The Secret on audiobook all week. My heart sank when I saw how many other vehicles there were on board the ferry, as I did not fancy the 3 mile trip round a winding coast road in the dark with all these other cars. It would be like Wacky Races, I thought. I had a strong desire to avoid this experience, so imagine my surprise when we got to the island and my car just would not start at all! Just when I thought I would be stuck there all night, one of the ferry workers managed to get my car started. And so I had the 3 mile journey all to myself, just 7 minutes after all of the other ferry traffic. It just blew me away!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
