I was introduced to The Secret when I was in college. At the first glance at The Secret I knew it was something worth reading. I read The Secret and watched the video and I was inspired like never before. I started off by attracting simple things and it worked. I never needed much in college so what I attracted were small things. The biggest thing I had attracted at that time was getting a new cellphone and I did get the exact one I wanted.

After graduating I didn’t have any clue about what I wanted to do with my life but I knew that I have always wanted to work in any kind of foreign organization. A few months after graduating I saw a vacancy notice for an Embassy job and I knew at that moment that that was the exact job I wanted. I applied and got called in for an interview. However, during the process, I don’t know how or why, but I started having doubts about it. So I didn’t get the job.

After few months, I started working as an intern in an NGO. I was happy with my job but knew that I still wanted the Embassy job, even though I had doubts before. Now that I think about it, it was not a doubt but more of a fear. Anyways, as I was working at the NGO I got a call from the Embassy and they informed me that there is an internal vacancy and that they wanted me to come in for a short interview, and I did. After the interview I acted as if I already had gotten the job. I remember going out shopping for professional clothes and shoes that I would be wearing for my new job. A few weeks later they called and told me that I got the job and it was exactly what I asked for! Thank you!
