4th August 2009, the day when I first saw The SECRET movie. My friend had once talked to me about the movie, thoroughly impressed by the subject matter; we planned to watch it together.

Now talking about August 2009, I had recently cleared the entrance exam for the Chartered Accountant’s course. I had my Intermediate level exam due in the upcoming year’s May month. To date, in my 17 years of life span I had never gone for any kind of formal coaching or tuitions apart from the regular schooling and used to always study by myself. Therefore continuing with my custom, I decided to study for the intermediate level exam also by myself i.e. without going for any coaching or tuitions. Now, when I placed this decision in front of my friends and relatives; I encountered with the following reactions- “Are you CRAZY, this isn’t just a school level exam, this is the biggest exam amongst the ones you have given till now”, “Dude!! Don’t mess with your career”, another common reaction was “laughter” as if i have cracked a joke or something. All this was really disheartening but The Secret teaches us to believe and truly believe on the inner feeling that says ‘you will accomplish your goals’.

One of the methods of applying The Secret as taught in the movie was making a ‘VISION BOARD’. From that I developed my own version and named it ‘THE VISION PAPER’; on which I write my name in the center and all my goals surrounding my name. One of the goals I wrote on the very first Vision Paper was ‘All India Topper of Chartered Accountant Intermediate (IPCC) level , May 2010. Interestingly whenever I saw that paper a feeling of really being a topper used to instill somewhere inside me.

Travelling through a fight (a tennis match) between the negative side of my mind (result of public criticism) and positive side of my mind (feeling of hope, by seeing the Paper), I could manage to complete only a few chapters of one of the subjects out of the 7 subjects by the month of November. To add further to my disgrace, I met with an accident on 4 December 2009; got 3 stitches right above my right eye. The doctor asked me a one and a half month bed rest, and not even dare to touch the study material. I was even proposed to drop the May attempt.

Putting all my energy to gain all the courage I had, when I finally recovered from the injuries, the first thing I did was to go and have a look at my Vision Paper. Everyday I woke up, I used to see the Paper. “YES!! YOU WILL TOP ALL OVER INDIA” was the feeling that kept on coming inside me. I started with my full-fledged studies from the month of February. Meanwhile, I also had my graduation first level exams. By the mid of May I finished with all my exams.

4th August 2010, the results were out. I managed to be amongst the 12% students of my country who could clear all the seven exams in one attempt. This performance of mine didn’t even put an end to all the sarcasm I had been witnessing, but also brought me a lot of appreciation. Just like Mr. Jack Canfield’s $92,327 instead of $100,000 I could pass the exam though didn’t top it. And the feeling similarly was “WOW!!” The Secret really works.

The SECRET MANIFESTATION: Well, I happened to meet the All India Topper of the previous attempt some days after my result. We congratulated each other for our respective successes. I said to her, “well, I could only pass, my achievement was nowhere near yours”. To this she said in reply, “Buddy!! You did all this without any formal coaching, whereas I didn’t. You fought with injuries and the criticism; therefore, in totality your achievement does have an equal stand to mine”. GOSH!!!!! An ALL INDIA TOPPER calling me EQUIVALENT to her…..!!!!! It really felt that my dream had come true. I could truly feel being the topper.

Surely, The Secret manifested. This was my first Secret. From there on, my life has witnessed many Secrets being manifested day by day. Thanks to Rhonda Ma’am from the bottom of my heart for providing a medium of attracting this power into my life…. :)… 🙂
