Hello to everyone who has written their stories so far, and a big thank you to Rhonda for sharing this.
I saw the movie The Secret for the first time in 2012 with my beautiful sister who had just received the CD as a gift. The film forced me to reanalyze my point of view.
It’s been a year since my 7 year old son kept asking me for a little brother or sister that he would like to share his toys with but we were not ready. His father and I ask him if he would like to have a pet. He jumped with joy, hoping that it would be a dog.
His father and I took him to a pet store to buy the dog, but even the smallest dog costs 15 000 pesos, which is equivalent to 300 US dollars. We did not want to disappoint him so we opted for a rabbit. I was very happy but then we saw on his face a little desolation. On the way back, I decided to attract a dog as a gift. I told God that I wanted a dog for my son. I would let God choose the person who would give it to us as a gift.
Later, my neighbor from above, gave us a nice little Yorkshire Terrier, with all his equipment, his bed, his bowl and a bag of food. I was so moved and my son burst into tears. I thanked God for giving me this wonderful gift and to see my son jumping with joy. What really moved me was that we had told nothing to the neighbor.
Ask, believe, and receive, thank you, thank you, thank you, God.
