Ask, And You Shall Receive.

MALYAHey! I'm a teenager living in South India. I've known about The Secret for a long time. I think it was around 10 years back when my dad found the book in an airport. I remember my parents being extremely happy on having found the book, and they started applying it in their lives. As time passed, the book was locked away in our library, and it became dusty. The 4 of us in our family often talked about it, but never used it. I started using it again a few days back, and I'm already feeling happy.
Words cannot express my immensely gratuitous nature to Rhonda Byrne and all those associated with The Secret and the ‘New Thought’ philosophy. You have helped many people live happier and fuller lives!
I’ve known about The Secret for nearly 10 years but had never put it to use properly. I have decided to narrate an incident in which I was, quite unconsciously, using The Secret around a year and a half back.
I am a teen in a reputed school in India. As soon as we are in 11th grade, selections are made for the prefects of our school. I had always wanted to be a prefect in our school since it is an immensely reputable position. I did not know the basis of their selection criteria, or any technicality associated with it. Since the time I was in 6th grade, I had always imagined myself being a prefect and leading my school.
When I was in 11th grade, I was called for the interview and micro presentation as part of the selection process. I was elated and I did a fairly good job in the selection process. The results would be announced the next day.
When I reached home that day, I kept on asking God, who is essentially the Universe, to grant me the post of a prefect. I repeated it several times in my mind and then went to bed.
The next day in school, I convinced myself that I was deserving to be a prefect. There was tight competition, and there were many able candidates. I kept repeating, quite unconsciously, in my mind, “I have to get this. I deserve to get this. No one but me will get it. I will get this. The Universe supports me. I am able, and I will lead this school.”
The teachers called us a few hours later and gave us the results. Voila! I was selected!
This clearly proves that if you ask something of the Universe, you will get it. You need not worry about the process, keep your eyes fixed on the destination. The Universe will provide you the path, and the necessary implements to cross the path.
” Ask, and you shall receive. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you.”
