CanadaI am a mother, wife, sister and daughter. Most importantly I am ME.
I was introduced to The Secret in 2008.
I was tired of my current job. I needed a change. I knew I had to be grateful for what I already had, so every night I would say thank you for my job. I wanted to become a manager.
One day I wrote on my business card, Manager of Administration. I kept the card in my desk drawer at work. After a few months, I cleaned up my desk and found this card. I looked at it and did not think much of it. In the next week or so, I saw a job opening for an Administration Manager. I thought to myself, this is a sign, I must apply. Over the years I thought I couldn’t do a lot of things, one of them was managing. I sent out my application. After a couple of weeks, I received an email from the employer saying that the company was very interested in my experience and qualifications. They had left a phone message that I missed completely! I immediately replied and thanked the Human Resources Manager for trying to contact me one more time.
I was nervous but sure. I passed the phone interview, next came a formal interview.
I went to the library and took out the book The Magic.
I read it and started saying thank you in advance for what I wanted. I said, thank you, thank you, thank you, for the successful job interview. I imagined myself telling my husband that the interview had gone great! I also imagined myself calm and confident at the interview.
When the time for the interview came I nailed it! I got a call for a second interview. Again I did the same thing, I thanked in advance for a great, confident, successful interview. At the second and final interview, I had to present a case study to my future team, it went well. As I waited to hear back from the employer, I again said thank you, thank you, thank you for my new job as manager of administration. I felt the joy of having the job. I almost burst into tears with happiness and excitement. I started acting as the job was already mine, so I packed my things at my current job. I had everything in boxes and started cleaning up as if I was leaving. I brought my things home.
Needless to say, I got the job.
I am so grateful and so happy to know The Secret.
I have shared The Secret with my family even though they are not true believers. I told them that I had written “Manager of Administration” under my name on my business card. My brother replied, “I am going to write President of the United States on mine”, oh well you never know!
Thank you God for your greatness and for giving us a generous and awesome universe!!!
