I was in love with a man I will call, A.N., for privacy purposes. I spent 3 years fantasizing about him, wishing and praying that something would happen between us. There were many times that I attracted him into my life. So here we go:

I first met A.N. my sophomore year of high school. I got to know him for about a month and I became very attracted to him. The homecoming dance was in a month and I really wanted him to ask me to be his date. I spent every single day thinking about how amazing it would be if we went together.

I didn’t think that he would ask me and he didn’t. He asked someone else.

But something unbelievable happened. After the dance, he messaged me one night and he told me that for the past month, ever since I was wishing that he would ask me to the dance, he was debating whether or not to ask me. He wanted to go with me but he thought I would say no to him. He asked one of his good friends because he knew that she would say yes to him.

I was mind blown about the situation. Even though he didn’t ask me, I was very happy. The fact that he wanted to go with me was enough to make my day.

I attracted the thought of me and him going together. That explains why he told me that he wanted to go with me, but since I thought that he wouldn’t ask me, he didn’t!
