I am currently trying hard to launch a singing/songwriting career.

I have a massive admiration for the boxer Ricky Hatton. I think he is a huge talent and I want to be as successful as him in my field. I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be possible to meet him – our lives seemed to be on such different paths, I could never imagine them crossing.

One day my friend said her dad was going to a boxing dinner, with Ricky Hatton as the star guest, and she invited me along. I couldn’t believe it. I was so exited but at the same time, I couldn’t believe it would happen. And guess what… it didn’t. At last minute I couldn’t attend as there was not enough tickets. I was so jealous that my friend was going to meet him, and the next day when she put a photo she had taken with him on her Facebook, I was really envious.

That day I was driving and listening to one of my songs, and I visualised a whole music video for my song, featuring Ricky Hatton. I fell in love with the idea and I said to myself, “I am going to meet him and make this dream come true”. I really believed this time.

A week later I was in a Bar in Manchester, and in walked Ricky Hatton!! I was so thrilled. My friend kept saying, “Let’s go ask for his autograph.” I said, “No… we are going to meet him properly on a friends basis, not fan to idol basis.” I didn’t know how, but I believed.

An hour later a friend of mine walked in who knew Ricky well… I had no idea. He introduced us and I ended up spending the whole night with Ricky, talking and dancing. I asked him to be in my Video and he said he would as soon as I’m signed. We took tons of photos of us all hanging out like good friends, and he gave me his phone number.

The next day when I was putting my photos on Facebook I smiled to myself, as if I had gone with my friend to the dinner, I would have had one staged photo with Ricky Hatton like my friend. Instead I have tons of fun photos and a new friend in Ricky. I now know I can wish any situation into my life… I just have to believe whole heartedly. My next wish is to make the video and get signed… and I know it will happen.
