I’m currently reading The Secret for the first time. I have not yet completed the book, but I have to share my small experience that just happened with you all.

I decided to read a chapter this morning on my off day rather than at night as I usually do. I am reading my chapter on Gratitude when I begin to weep from being overwhelmed. This has happened to me almost every chapter, but this was to the point where I could not stop crying. I am thinking of all the things that I am so thankful for as I close the book. I’m about to cry as I visualize my morning and share this!

A few months ago when I went on vacation, one of my friends/coworkers gave me a marble turtle in memory of a turtle I had for 17 years named Hercules who passed last year. I chose to use this turtle as my turtle of gratitude. I rub his shell as I give my thanks and gratitude to the universe and all that is in it. After I gave my thanks I go to take a shower I visualize what I would be receiving from the universe, and I begin to cry in the shower. As I walk back to my room in the middle of the doorway next to mine I see a small card. I walked past it but something says go back to get it.

I pick up the card and on the card it says “Thank You”. I’m not sure where it came from, but it isn’t for me to speculate. The universe is working for me and I’m thankful for it.
