Acing A PhD Seat.
Submitted by: Piku
IndiaI’m a child of the Universe, and an optimistic person who never gives up.
So here is my story: I am a believer and a hardworking girl. By the way, this is my third story on this site. You can find my other stories with the name Piku.
Last year, I was going to a lot of interviews and universities to get a PhD job seat. Finally, I got a PhD job seat at ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai, and that too under the guidance of the director of the institute. Last year, I appeared for the interview in October, and in January, I got the PhD offer letter. It happened at the exact same time that I was wishing to get a PhD job seat at the end of my previous job, which ended on 30th January 2024.
I was a bit disheartened because I would be leaving my favorite city, Bangalore, in order to move to Mumbai. However, I was happy to leave my toxic workplace and join somewhere else. Also, my home town is close by to the new job site so I would be able to visit often, but I made a few mistakes.
As it is explained in The Magic book, you should write down exactly what you want for and from your new job, and also where it should located if that is important to you. Here at my new job in Mumbai, life is more relaxed as my boss is the director, so she isn’t following my back 24/7, but I still do not have any earnings or stipend yet. I have to either write proposals for funding or pass any funding exam. The trend of the people that work here is an average of having their PhD for eight years, which is not a good thing for me because I already made the wrong decision of waiting three years to join a PhD program after opting for three years of work experience first. So, I was expecting a PhD of 3 to 4 years.
So, basically, as the law of attraction suggests, you should write specific details about what your needs are for your desired job, including the location of your desired place of work. I always wanted to get settled in Bangalore.
So, here is the key for me. The first twelve practices in The Magic use the magical power of gratitude for what you have right now and for what you’ve received in the past. That is because unless you are grateful for what you have and what you have received, the magic does not work, and you won’t receive more. That is because you are sending out a frequency of lack for what you do not have.
This is what I was missing. Even though I gave thanks for what I got, I was not feeling grateful enough about what I had in my previous job. Luckily, I finally realized how blessed I actually had been.
After realizing this, I have started doing The Magic practice again, and soon, I will be writing my new success story here. I am so happy and grateful for my previous job as JRF at ICAR-IVRI, Bangalore, and I am grateful for my PhD seat at ICMR-NIRRCH, Mumbai, which makes me feel extremely blessed. Now, I am on my way to manifest a PhD seat in my desired institute and city with a good amount of pay!
It is very important to note that ‘letting it go’ is a very major key in the process. Always being grateful is very important as well. The Universe always has my back. Thank you so very much to the Universe! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!
