Accomplished List

CaliforniaI am a 30-year-old mother of a lovely teenage girl. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Business. I am a writer and artist in the Bay Area.
I have just started living the Secret in my life, and I find it to be an amazing and wonderful awakening of my life. Well my story is about those horrible To Do lists that we make, and that we always try to accomplish, on a daily basis. I don’t know if you are like me, but there is always one or two items on my list that I never get accomplished or that I never get around to.
Well after watching the Secret and trying to understand LIVING IN THE NOW…I began to realize that many of the things I do are focused living in the past and the future. I began to realize that the TO DO LISTS (that I made every day!!!) were menial chores I set up for my self, to TRY to accomplish, some time in the future. I began to think well what if I made an ACCOMPLISHED LIST? So I began to write the things I wanted to do, and wrote than like I already did them. I wrote things like I CLEANED THE HOUSE, and I WENT GROCERY SHOPPING, and I wrote ACCOMPLISHED on the very top! I am a writer and I know words have a very strong impact on people so ACCOMPLISHED really is a very positive word for me to look at in front of me than TO DO. I also realized that I was more thoughtful about those lists (I was after all already doing it) and I often omitted things that would have any negative connotations or wording (words like PAY or BILLS! I always used the words PAID!!!!) I also always made sure my list had something to do with my OVERALL LIFE GOALS.
This was a really POSITIVE tool I used, and it is so simple! It was also a great way to see how The Secret worked on a day to day basis. I notice I got all the things on my list accomplished with few variances. I was also much happier about doing things, because I could imagine them as already done… and that felt good inside. I hope someone else can benefit from this. Thank you Secret for all you have done in my life!
