For starters, I took a ring off of my finger and said, “My boyfriend of 5 years may not marry me, but I will have a ring on this finger.” Not three weeks later one Thursday I came home from work to a big surprise. Without ceremony he turned to me and said, “I should have done this a long time ago,” and handed me a ring box. It was a beautiful diamond!

The next week I turned 50. We had planned a birthday party. What our guests didn’t know was that it would be a wedding party too! It was magical.

A few other little things have transpired also. This past weekend was another surprise. Last week I spent most of the day cleaning and arranging the step son’s bedroom. He doesn’t spend the night anymore as he is 18 and doing his own thing and working. When I was done it was set up for the comfort of an overnight guest should the need arise. Well, this Saturday I got a call that my son in-law and my grandson’s Godfather and friends would be passing through town and would like to visit! What a treat, they live in Cali so I don’t get to see them often. I mentioned to their friend what had happened in regard to the room. Her response was, “Oh, The Secret is working for you.” I asked if it worked for her too. She smiled and held up her 5 month old baby.

I can’t be thankful enough.
