I have believed in the law of attraction for years and have seen it in action in my own life. I’m one of those who always is able to get front-row parking – my friends & family joke that I have “good parking kharma”. But I had not embraced the magnitude of the law or applied it truly as a way of life until The Secret. I read the book and then over the last 2 weeks have been listening to The Secret CDs in my car every day as I drive to and from work during my hour long commute. I wanted to really internalize the message of The Secret, and live it & breathe it. Here is an example of the Universe rearranging things to make a wish come true. While it’s a small thing, it’s a wondrous example all the same.

Yesterday while driving home from work I decided I wanted to listen to country music. I turned on the local country station and then thought that I would really like to hear “Come on Over” by Jessica Simpson. I decided I wanted to request the song. I turned off my radio so I could hear on the phone, and called 411 to get the station phone number. The operator said there were multiple listings, all with the same station ID numbers and none referenced country music. So I picked one and tried calling the number. All I got was a busy signal. Rather than getting frustrated like I might have in the past, I just thought, “Isn’t this interesting?” I hung up and turned the radio back on. The VERY FIRST THING I heard was the radio announcer talking about what great success the new song “Come on Over” was having. Then the announcer aired a clip from an interview where Jessica Simpson shared her thoughts on how she wrote the song. Then they played the song! My eyes welled up with tears and I said, “Thank you” over and over.

I am still in awe of this very clear example of the Secret in action, and will use it as a “Secret Shifter” whenever I need inspiration. Thank you for sharing the Secret with the world!
