usaChanging my life for the better before my 30’s.
I have spent the last 3 days reading The Secret Success Stories and cultivating a gratitude type mindset. I can feel the power and the value of that just by my elevated mood. As Abraham-Hicks said, you can judge the value of your thought by how it makes you feel, and I have been feeling so wonderful while doing this work.
Last night I decided on a whim that I would like to see a meteor. I decided this while I was walking my dogs for the last time for the night, and I was constantly looking up waiting for it to appear. I thought this should be no big deal, right? Shooting stars happen all the time? And I felt the tiniest disappointment that it had not happened yet while I was still out with my dogs. We went inside and I decided that I must not have been in the right receiving mode and that it will happen when I am in a better place. I went to bed and was mentally listing out all the things that I was grateful for this day.
Maybe an hour later, my mind was still active and the weight of miracles was on my mind. I began to think that I was mistaken in my assumption that manifesting a shooting star should be “no big deal” because it “happens all the time”. I began to consider the physics of it all. This was a cosmic event, and I was requesting it like it was nothing. This was not asking to see a pine needle blowing across the driveway. I had just asked the Universe to harness a space rock and somehow put it in my view, and to do it fast! I sat with that for a while and considered the bigness of my request. Not in a discouraging way, simply in a, “I fully understand if this needs a little more time to manifest” kind of way. And I knew that if the Universe could do this, move heaven and earth to satisfy my simple curiosity, it could, and would, do anything.
I began to get chilly and sat up to close the window above me. The view from the window is mostly obscured by a very large tree. But just above and to the right of that tree, as I closed the window, a meteor blasted across the Northern sky!
