A Magical Move.
Submitted by: Believer
LondonA blessed soul.
So, I promised myself that I would write about my experience when I get this wish fulfilled. Thank you to everyone who put their stories in here. Thank you Rhonda and The Secret team for this awesome knowledge. Thanks to the moment when I picked up the book and read it.
For a long time I was very unhappy with my housemate. She was not very clean and though I tried to do my bit, the situation left me frustrated. My friends and family insisted that I leave and live some place else. But I loved my apartment. For the rent we paid, we actually had a fabulous apartment which was spacious and the layout was just perfect. So, the only reason I stuck around was because of the place I called home.
Now fast forward a few years. While I was away visiting my family, my housemate informed me that the apartment was infested with bugs and that treatment was required. I was calm about it but understood the reason being her unhygienic way of living. After much discussion with the landlady we decided to leave the apartment. The reason I hung around for so long was being taken away! I was determined to use The Secret to find my new abode!
I looked for clues in the stories you lovely people wrote in this space. Clues for what I needed to do to make it happen. I wrote up a list. I searched and went to a lot of house viewings. My family and friends witnessed the frustration I was going through trying to make it happen.
Two weeks before the moving out date, I put myself out there. I put an ad on the website stating that I am seeking a place, listing out my basic requirements. I got bombarded with emails and messages from different agents and people seeking tenants. I went to see the ones I liked but the pictures were far better than the places themselves. It was agonizing. I wondered what was I doing differently, why was the law not working for me.
I also listed two places I loved. After long chats with the two ladies I thought they would agree to share the apartment with me but for some vague reason they did not. I was heartbroken. Two days away from the moving date I was feeling completely helpless. I had given up. I had focused, visualized, prayed, sounded excited about the place and I did not have it. I felt extremely lost. I called a few friends and they advised me to sleep on it. Which I did. It wasn’t like I was going to be homeless, I had a plan B but I had always stated that on the day of the move I will be going to my own place.
The day before the move was a day off to finish the packing. After sleeping earlier than usual, I woke up at 4:30 and went through the emails to see if there were any alternative options at all. I was expecting a miracle and still had faith, I donât know why. I saw an ad which showed pictures of a lovely apartment. I said â why not, itâs worth a shot. It had everything I wanted. I called the landlady and she responded in a few hours. Since I was home we decided to meet the same day to see the apartment.
I met this lovely lady who took me through the neighbourhood area and the apartment itself. It is a beautiful apartment and could feel all my requirements being ticked in my head. I was amazed how clean the house mate was. She wasn’t there but the clean communal areas said a lot about what I could expect from her. The landlady wanted to know when I could move, I said the next day and she agreed!!
I was surprised how easily it all happened. In hours things changed for me. All that I needed was there, and more. I quickly went home and told all my mates who helped me search, that I had found my dream place and that I was so grateful. They couldn’t believe the change of events.
I continued packing with complete gratitude, not knowing what to say or feel. I had just witnessed a miracle and I couldnât understand how it had all happened. The home had found me!! I had just put out a list of things I needed, and it manifested better than I could expect.
I went online and looked for a man with the van and picked the first one I found. Booked it and continued packing. My friends and I celebrated that evening and I kept packing till the time for the van to arrive. I had booked only one man with the van. I estimated it would take three hours for the move given the amount of stuff I had. But the man told me he had a friend with him to help. Here I was with two men helping me for the charges of one!! The move happened smoothly and in half the time. I paid them extra to cover the cost of the second man. The delight on their faces was brilliant. It meant a lot to them and I was very grateful for their help. Well done, Universe in helping me with the move.
I must say, part of me let go of the whole idea of finding my own place on time. But it happened. Better than how I imagined it. I am amazed and I know this incident will remind me every time that miracles happen. Just believe in your desires and the reasons why you want them. Itâll happen. What is meant for you will not pass you by. What I thought was good for me was not even close to what I received.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Universe!
