A Little Daily Faith Goes A Long Way.
Submitted by: Luke
Boston, MAI'm a grad student starting in a couple months. Just finished my undergrad while playing sports for my university.
My then girlfriend had broken up with me. I was feeling completely down. It was three months after it ended that we graduated from university and had to go different ways. Everything in my life was going absolutely bonkers. Then I had to fly home – which was a good 30 hour trip. My first flight was horrible in the middle seat, and I was in very bad shape. Weeping with all the weight I had carried from that relationship, I was still grieving. Worse, the flight was 15 hours. I did not sleep for a single minute. For a moment, I wished I could get a nice first-class seat right away.
The very next connecting flight was a four 4 hour flight. Right when I was scanning my boarding pass at the gate, they pulled me aside and said I had a free upgrade to first class. I did not even bother – I was so tired and literally looked like a zombie. Then, I cried with gratitude and slept like a baby. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
That was when my whole perspective of life changed. It sounds like a fairy tale, but it was like a big change, like a light at the end of a tunnel, which I could now see!
Sometimes, that is all it takes: not thinking that I deserve this or deserve that but having a little faith in myself and what my intuition requires. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Have a nice day! Thank you.
