A Great Journey
Submitted by: Jerry Jean West
Point Venture, TXI am about to become the age of 70. That alone is a miracle. I have three sons, married and four grandchildren. I believe myself to be on an eternal journey.
I was born into the family of a mother who gave her children away when they became too inconvinent for her.
The world would call us dysfunctional. But I have discovered, while each of us have our different experiences and have made different choices, we are still brother and sisters.
I was raised poor, sexually, physically and mentally abused.
I have had many surgeries and illnesses. Sometimes I was told i would not survive.
All these things have brought me to this place in my life.
That love is the absolute.
I recently went through a triple bypass surgery, my family was told that I might not make it through. I was “under” for 4 days. When I awoke, I could not speak or walk or think clearly. I went through 4 weeks of rehab.
During the time I was under I had an experience. Entities came to me to tell me that I was loved and that I would be alright. They encouraged me to love and be loving, because that is the most important thing in this life. Love one another, be there for each other, make memories that will last forever.
That is truly the only thing we leave behind when we leave this existence.
I have many friends, and family, and I tell them as often as I can to love each other and that I love them,.
Remember that love or hate, victim or victor, it is all a choice.
We never know what a kind word or smile, and act of kindness will affect another person, because we never truly know what is in thier lives or hearts.
“Love is not blind, and forgives”. There is a tiny plaque that I keep so that I can see it everyday to remind me.
“Love in the heart is not meant to stay, for love isn’t love until we give it away”.
I have found that to be very true.
So may love, true peace abiding love fill you and allow it to spill out to others.
Eternal Peace be yours always.
