After being laid off eight years ago, I could never get a job. Even interviews were scarce. This was very depressing because I am in my 50s, a mother of three, married, and we needed the income. Negativity was all over me, pulling me down and making things worse.

So I changed.

Instead of focusing on all the problems, like my age, length of unemployment, and lack of skill set, I followed the 28 days of exercises in The Magic and wrote out why I was grateful for not having a job for so long and how I am grateful to have one now.

Not too long after, I was called in for an interview. Then, I was called back for two more follow-up interviews. It was just three days after the last interview that I started my new job for far more money than I had requested! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
