A Class
Submitted by: Pooja
South AfricaI am now a 17 year old, aspiring doctor.
My grade six teacher told me that I would never be great, and the only reason this killed me was because it severely disappointed my parents. Soon I believed her, but when I moved to high school I said, “NO! I will not let this happen!!”
That year, I received an A aggregate and got shifted to the A class, and for the first time I could proudly tell my mum to come to awards day. And every year, it just gets better.
I met my teacher last year, and she wanted to know about my badges. She was shocked to discover that I was in the top 5 in my grade and that I am a prefect.
I am now waiting for my acceptance letter into Nelson Mandela School of Medicine.
